JAJA shortlisted for Prague’s Vltava Philharmonic Hall Competition
Out of 120 entries, 15 teams have been selected for the competition regarding the future Vltava Philharmonic Hall in Prague. We are very excited to announce that we are one of the teams! Five teams were selected in advance and a total 20 teams will compete for the best proposal.
“We were very pleased with the great interest of Czech and international studios, which testifies to the prestige of the Vltava Philharmonic project. There were really many quality portfolios and it was not easy to choose 15 final teams. I am very glad that we can finally officially share the list of names of architectural teams that we will now contact to develop a proposal for a new philharmonic. The final twenty from 11 countries around the world have work experience not only from the public but also the private sector, and offer cultural and opinion diversity, “ said the chairman of the jury Michal Sedláček.
The chosen teams are: ALA + OV-A, MVRDV, OFFICE KGDVS + Christ & Gantenbein, Mecanoo + CHYBIK + KRISTOF, Barozzi Veiga + Atelier M1, Sou Fujimoto Architects, Cobe + Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects, ŠÉPKA ARCHITEKTI + MANGADOS Y FOCIA Partners, Bjarke Ingels Group, Henning Larsen Architects, Carrilho da Graça Arquitectos, JAJA Architects, Bevk Perovic Arhitekti and Petr Hájek Architekti, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Snøhetta, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, David Chipperfield Architects and SANAA.
