We are prequalified to develop Tårnet Senter, Norway

Together with AART and Bjørbekk & Lindheim landscape architects, we are through to the next phase in the competition regarding the development of the former airport area Fornebu, west of Oslo. The new area will hold up to 25.000 inhabitants and a new school and various social functions are therefore needed.

The next months will work on how to include several functions such as, a public library, sports and cultural facilities, a school and a health centre, just to mention a few. Aiming to create a common arena of public services and social meeting places, the area should be easily accessible to the public and a catalyst for city life and culture.

Sustainable strategies

Being a part of Bærum municipality‘s 2030 climate strategy and the FutureBuilt-innovation program, the project sets high hopes for the architecture as well as the social and environmental aspects.

Out of 29 applications, five teams were selected:

AART + JAJA + Bjørbekk & Lindheim

Longva Arkitekter + NORD + KOHT + Edit

Helen & Hard + Funkia + Filter Arkitekter

Pir II + Haptic
