Welcome to our new team members!

JAJA would be nothing without our talented team. We recently welcomed a bunch of new colleagues, and to get to know them better, we’ve asked them a series of questions. Here’s your chance to get to know them too.

Carl Danielsson

Where are you from?

I am from Norrköping, Sweden. I lived there until I was 20, and afterwards I have been living in different smaller cities where I prepared for architecture school. I now study at KADK in Copenhagen.

What are your interests?

Mostly architecture, of course. Lately I’ve also been very interested in sculpturing, and I think it’s very interesting to combine it with architecture.

Favorite food?

That’s a hard one. I think I would say pasta, haha.

Which city has inspired you the most?

I went on a study trip to Yazd in Iran. The architecture school in Yazd was really inspiring because of their different methods and the environment there was so unique.

Do you have an all time favorite movie?

That must be the one called The Squid and the Whale. It really gets into family issues and deals with difficult stuff such as divorce.

Alice Miller

Where are you from?

I’m from South of London. I have studied architecture on the Mackintosh, so I’ve lived in Glasgow for three years now.

What are your interests?

I enjoy running, and I enjoy a good cup of tea – that’s so British, haha. I actually had to bring my own tea to the office.

Favorite food?

I would say, between my moms cooking and a nice take away pizza, for sure.

Which city has inspired you the most?

I take Dublin, because it’s like Glasgow but the people are nicer. The citizens of Glasgow has a…specific type of humor.

Do you have an all time favorite movie?

Oh no, that’s so difficult. Probably like, any Disney – I’m a real sucker for that.

Robbie Anderson

Where are you from?

I’m from Austin, Texas. I’m getting my masters of architecture at the university of Texas, Austin.

What are your interests?

I’m into rock climbing and have been doing it for ten years now – mostly indoor. I’m also a big TV and movie buff and I enjoy a good beer as well.

Favorite food?

Currently it’s Ramen. In Austin we have this amazing Ramen restaurant I love visiting.

Which city has inspired you the most?

I’m torn between Chicago and New York. I’ll probably go with New York because of all the theaters and the architecture there as well. I really like the city’s busyness, but only for a short period. I wouldn’t live there.

Do you have an all time favorite movie?

I feel like I always change this answer, but I would say The Lion King – the original of course. It always puts me in a good mood and it’s full of nostalgia.

Jens Christiansen

Where are you from?

I have been living in Copenhagen for five years now, but I was born and raised in a smaller town called Haslev. It’s about 60 km from Copenhagen.

What are your interests?

I love hanging out with my friends and to watch a movie, but if I should name just one thing it would be music. I play and listen to a lot of music and love going to concerts.

Favorite food?

That’s hard, because it changes over time. I think I would go with Spaghetti Carbonara though – so simple and so yummy.

Which city has inspired you the most?

I visited Tokyo two years ago and it blew my mind. I stayed in Shibuya for a week and the city just never stopped giving me new impressions. Not to mention the food!

Do you have an all time favorite movie?

Maybe it’s a cliché, but David Fincher’s Fight Club must be my all time favorite. I like the raw energy and it’s a movie I never get tired of watching.
