Groundbreaking at Kirke Hyllinge Activity Centre

Wednesday, we were at the groundbreaking ceremony at the new Kirke Hyllinge Activity Centre

Built in 1973, The Kirke Hyllinge Hall has long been a gathering point for the city’s active citizens and associations. However, the physical framework has gradually become outdated in relation to today’s sports forms. To meet future needs, we have helped expanding the hall with a new, state-of-the-art extension.

Graphics, landscape and building together gives a vibrant and playful new main arrival. A ‘super graphic’ logo merges with guiding line markings, playfully drawing visitors inside.

The core of the activity center is the ‘flexperimentarium,’ a versatile hall designed to accommodate a wide array of activities.From badminton, climbing and mini handball courts to flexible training areas, the design creates a dynamic arena where children, adults and associations can find new ways to practice sports and exercise.

The project was started by local enthusiasts who initiated the project 20 years ago, and is the result of a close collaboration between JAJA, Rama Studio the town’s citizens and sports associations, Kirke Hyllinge School, Kirke Hyllinge Byforum, A.P. Møller Fonden, Lokale og Anlægsfonden, and Lejre Kommune.
